Mind says one thing, body another
Why do you know what you want, yet sometimes do the exact opposite?
Course description

You know the feeling: you know what you want, you have a plan — and yet at an important moment you react differently from how you would like. It is not a lack of willpower. It is the result of the mind and body sometimes being in two different places.
The ‘Mind says one thing, body another’ course is an eight-week exploration of beliefs, emotions, and nervous system responses. Participants look at their automatic reactions, learn to recognise them in the body, and gradually regain agency over what happens before they react.
This work combines a psychological understanding of mechanisms with practical tools — ones that can be used in real, stressful situations.
Who is it for
The course is for you if:
- you understand the mechanism of your reaction, but find it difficult to change when emotions rise;
- you are experiencing stress, tension or exhaustion and want to regain your balance;
- you want to understand what your body is communicating before it turns into a symptom;
- you repeat the same patterns in relationships or at work and want to see them from an outside perspective;
- you are looking for work grounded in psychological knowledge rather than motivational slogans.
The course is developmental in nature and does not replace psychotherapy or a psychological consultation.
Course outcomes
After eight weeks:
- You recognise your body's stress signals before they take control.
- You know which beliefs are genuinely yours and which you are merely repeating.
- You have a toolkit for self-regulation to use in difficult situations.
- You find it easier to stay connected with yourself when pressure builds.
- You choose your response consciously instead of reacting automatically.
