Mental Toughness – MTQ
Know yourself. Discover the strength of your team. Build resilience to challenges.
Programme description

Mental toughness affects how we handle pressure, uncertainty, change, and everyday demands. In the workplace, it matters both for individual functioning and for how we collaborate, make decisions, and support one another in challenging situations.
The Mental Toughness – MTQ programme is an interactive development workshop that combines the MTQ mental toughness assessment with individual and team work. Participants discover their profiles, better understand their reactions to challenges, and identify areas they can consciously develop.
During the workshop, we do not limit ourselves to analysing the results. We use them as a springboard for shared reflection, conversations, and exercises inspired by a team coaching approach. The team explores how it copes with pressure, what helps maintain engagement, how it uses its resources, and what can support its effectiveness in demanding situations.
We work with the 4Cs model, encompassing four areas of mental toughness: Control, Commitment, Challenge and Confidence.
The aim is not only to increase participants' self-awareness, but also to develop shared ways of strengthening mental toughness and enhancing team effectiveness.

How the programme works
MTQ mental toughness assessment
Participants complete the MTQ questionnaire and then receive individual profiles, which serve as the starting point for work during the workshop.
Exploring individual profiles
We explore the four dimensions of the 4Cs model. Participants analyse their strengths and development areas, considering how their results show up in everyday professional situations.
Discovering team resilience
We use team exercises and coaching questions to explore together how the group responds to pressure, uncertainty, and change. We identify resources that help the team perform effectively, as well as factors that might hinder collaboration.
We develop action strategies
Participants explore solutions together, share good practices, and define how they can better support each other in demanding situations. We work on what the team can change, strengthen, or start doing differently.
We create a development plan
To conclude, participants define individual development pathways, and the team agrees on tangible actions to leverage shared resources and build resilience in everyday work.
Outcome: stronger individually, more effective together
The workshop combines individual insight with team learning. Participants gain a better understanding of themselves and others, and the team gains a shared perspective, practical action strategies, and a plan for developing mental toughness further.
