Team integration and effectiveness in an international setting
Challenge
How do you combine personal development, cross-team effectiveness, and leadership coaching while translating awareness of interpersonal differences into tangible actions?
How the project was delivered
The project encompassed several complementary areas:
- Insights Discovery™ and team effectiveness — following the foundational Insights Discovery™ sessions, I ran 6-hour team effectiveness workshops for seven departments across the business. Each team created its own Action Plan board, identifying what to do differently, which changes to implement, ownership, and clear timelines.
- Leadership development — heads of department received targeted support through in-depth Insights Discovery™ profile debriefs and executive coaching.
- Mindfulness — for another team, I delivered a 2-hour mindfulness workshop focusing on presence and awareness in everyday work.
Eight sailboats. Eight Insights Discovery™ types. One shared direction.
Workshops for a large group of employees, delivered in English, were paired with a sailing-inspired team-building experience.
Eight teams decorated eight wooden sailboats. Each team designed and painted its own craft to represent one of the eight Insights Discovery™ types, inscribing key communication tips specific to that type.
The exercise enabled participants to view diversity well beyond the four colour energies, showcasing the rich variety of individual perspectives and interaction styles.
To close, participants launched all eight sailboats together. This symbolic finale brought home the central theme: we may think and act differently, yet we can collaborate seamlessly and sail towards the same horizon.
What made this project stand out?
A blend of concrete action plans, leadership development, and a creative team-building experience that translated diversity awareness into collaborative action.
